whYBe Productions has partnered with Greg Yalch to tell a story loosely based off of his life and takes a raw look at lost innocence, youthful despair and divine intervention. The film follows the life of Jason, a teenager battling with a depressed suicidal mother and the tumultuous divorce of his parents who finds his escape in surfing and skateboarding. He is slowly drawn into a lifestyle of reckless abandonment after joining an alternative rock band. What starts as experimentation, quickly turns into a full-blown heroin addiction. Jason's daily search for the next fix takes him down a dark destructive road, with his friend Amber tagging along for the ride. When it seems all hope is lost, WAKE reminds us that it's never too late to turn around.
